Dr. Valencia Belle

 

Scientist, Innovator, Motivational Speaker, EdTech Founder 

Dr. Valencia Belle is a scholar, educator, and entrepreneur whose journey began as a track and field scholar-athlete tutoring ACT prep at just 12 years old. She earned degrees from the University of Alabama, Virginia Commonwealth, and the University of Maryland, culminating in a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from the University of Southern California, while also completing research at Duke, Harvard, and MIT.

 

Belle began her career as a biomedical researcher with the National Institutes of Health before founding SCHOOLS in 2015, a Benefit Corporation dedicated to affordable test prep and breaking cycles of student debt. A globally recognized ACT Certified Educator and author of multiple books, she is also the first BIPOC woman to launch a B Corp in Alabama. Her achievements have earned her the Wharton Knowledge for Impact Award, recognition as one of USC’s Top Ten Black Alumni, and a feature in Gener8tor’s Founder Series.

Marvin Jones

NFL Retiree, Former Coach and Athletic Consultant

Marvin Jones (born June 28, 1972) is a former NFL linebacker whose career is defined by dominance, leadership, and consistency on the field. A Florida State legend, he became the first Seminole to win two national awards in the same year, capturing both the Butkus Award and the Lombardi Award in 1992, while also earning consensus All-American honors and the nickname “Shade Tree” for his calm but commanding presence.

 

Drafted fourth overall by the New York Jets in the 1993 NFL Draft, Jones spent his entire 11-season professional career with the team, recording over 1,000 tackles, 9.5 sacks, and four interceptions, cementing his reputation as one of the league’s most respected linebackers.

 

After retiring, he transitioned into coaching, leading teams in the Indoor Football League such as the Cedar Rapids Titans, Omaha Beef, and later the Tulsa Oilers. Extending his passion for developing athletes, Jones partnered with Dr. Valencia Belle to create and curate CLEARED Camps & Athletics, a program designed to prepare and develop scholar-athletes for success both on and off the field.
